    Mortgage Loan Specialist

    Description:
    We are seeking a dedicated professional to serve as a critical supporting force for our Mortgage Loan Originators. In this role, your expertise will directly contribute to an exceptional experience for every borrower.

    Key Impact Areas:

    • Expert Communication: Act as the ongoing liaison for borrowers, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout the entire loan process.
    • Process Precision: Manage initial front-end processing tasks and maintain rigorous standards within our Encompass loan origination technology.
    • Seamless Collaboration: Provide critical updates to Originators at predesignated intervals to ensure the loan file moves smoothly through its lifecycle
    • Consumer Loans: Represent the Bank for consumer loan inquires, assist customers with applications and then underwrite and assist in decisioning and completing Consumer Loans, with the applicable compliance requirements.
    • Qualifications:

    • Mortgage Industry Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in residential mortgage lending or a similar loan operations role.
    • Software Proficiency: Encompass LOS: Proven hands-on experience navigating the Encompass Loan Origination System (or similar system) to manage loan pipelines and ensure compliance.
    • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of mortgage processing workflows and key regulations, including TRID and RESPA.
    • NMLS Registration: Must be able to meet SAFE Act requirements for financial responsibility and character; active NMLS registration is a major plus but not strictly required for support-only roles.
    • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of guiding borrowers through complex document collection.
    • Detail-Oriented: High level of precision in logging loan file progression and identifying missing items before they reach underwriting.
