$48,000 Awarded to Volunteer Fire Departments

NebraskaLand Bank, North Platte, and FHLBank Topeka awarded a total of $48,000 to area Volunteer Fire Departments. NebraskaLand Bank received a matching grant to support their efforts through FHLBank Topeka’s Community Assistance Recovery Effort (CARE) Program.
The Volunteer Fire Departments receiving funds are:
Brady Volunteer Fire Department

Hershey Volunteer Fire Department

Maxwell Volunteer Fire Department

North Platte Volunteer Fire Department

Sutherland Volunteer Fire Department

Wallace Volunteer Fire Department

Each department received $8,000 for supplies and equipment.

As a member of FHLBank Topeka, NebraskaLand Bank has access to products and services to help their community thrive. The CARE Program was created in 2025 to help FHLBank member financial institutions support their communities after a FEMA-declared disaster. The program matches $3 for every $1 an FHLBank member contributes to disaster relief efforts.
