What is My Fair Share?

The My Fair Share program is a unique employee-led initiative that puts giving directly into the hands of our team. Each year, our employees nominate local non-profit organizations they are passionate about, then team members can choose to contribute a portion of their own earnings to directly support these non-profits. This program empowers our team to support the causes that matter most to them, ensuring their donations have a direct and meaningful impact right here in our communities.

This initiative is a true reflection of the NebraskaLand Bank culture. We are more than just bankers; we are neighbors, friends, and active members of the communities we serve. Our team’s commitment to giving back goes beyond their professional roles. It’s about personal investment and a shared desire to uplift those around us.

Celebrating a Milestone of Generosity

This year’s contributions are part of a larger legacy of giving. Since the My Fair Share program began in 2014, NebraskaLand Bank employees have collectively donated an astounding $251,000 to support vital local causes. This remarkable figure shows a sustained commitment to building stronger, healthier communities for everyone.

Mike Jacobson, President and CEO of NebraskaLand Bank recently said “for the past 22 years, our employees have stepped up and contributed a portion of their own funds to worthy charitable organizations in the communities where we are located, and I am incredibly proud of each person who has made this program a success. In 2025, the My Fair Share Campaign collected more than $18,000 for causes in North Platte, Kearney and Rock Springs, Wyoming. Community-minded isn’t just a slogan-it’s our culture. Congratulations to this year’s recipients and to the employees who made this possible.”

Announcing the 2025 Recipients

We are incredibly proud to announce the non-profit organizations selected by our employees for the 2025 My Fair Share program. These organizations do incredible work, and we are honored to support their missions. The donations will be celebrated at special breakfast and check presentation events held at our North Platte, Kearney, and Rock Springs locations.

North Platte Recipients

Our North Platte team chose to support three organizations making a significant difference in the lives of local families and children.

• Make-A-Wish Nebraska: $3,703.54

• Autism Society of Nebraska: $3,353.12

• Bridge of Hope: $2,947.53

Kearney Recipients

The Kearney team selected three diverse organizations, reflecting a commitment to mental wellness, animal welfare, and broad community support.

• McKenna’s Rae of Hope Foundation: $2,088.00

• Kearney Animal Shelter: $2,070.50

• Kearney Area Community Foundation: $510.00

Rock Springs Recipients

In Rock Springs, our team focused on organizations that provide essential care and support to individuals and families facing difficult times.

• Hospice of Sweetwater County: $2,206.75

• Project Hope: $2,031.15
