NebraskaLand Bank’s My Fair Share Program: A Testament to Community Giving
January 13, 2025

The My Fair Share program is a yearly initiative that allows NebraskaLand Bank employees to contribute part of their paycheck to non-profit organizations and causes that uplift our community. For the employees at NebraskaLand Bank it is not just about the financial contributions; it’s about our culture of being part of something bigger than themselves.
Through the My Fair Share program, employees can nominate local organizations for monetary donations and choose which causes to support by pledging a percentage of their pay throughout the year. Since its inception in 2004, My Fair Share has positively impacted numerous organizations, reflecting the spirit of generosity and community at the heart of our bank. We are thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2024 My Fair Share program and continue this tradition of giving back.
This year, a total of $16,000 in donations will be shared among several impactful organizations, including Bridge of Hope, PAW-itive Partners, the North Platte Area Children’s Museum, North Platte Skate Park, Kearney Animal Shelter, Kearney Area Community Foundation, Hospice of Sweetwater County, and Sweetwater Family Resource Center. To date, NebraskaLand Bank employees have donated an incredible $232,000 through the My Fair Share program.
Mike Jacobson, President and CEO of NebraskaLand Bank, expressed his sentiment about My Fair Share,
“Every day I am beyond grateful and proud of the staff at NebraskaLand Bank. While you are familiar with our staff volunteering their time at local events, you may not know that our employees routinely give a part of their paycheck. What an honor it is to lead such giving employees, who participate in worthy causes of giving back, and who go above and beyond. Robert Ingersoll said it well, ‘together we rise by lifting others.’”
Through this program, our employees show the true meaning of giving back. It’s about creating meaningful change—one donation at a time.
The unwavering commitment of NebraskaLand Bank employees exemplifies how a single act of kindness can ripple out into the wider community. It’s these efforts that transform charitable giving into a shared experience of hope and progress.
“Together We Rise by Lifting Others”
The words of Robert Ingersoll, echoed by Mike Jacobson, remind us all why giving back matters. It’s not just about what we give; it’s about the collective spirit of rising together. This belief drives what we do at NebraskaLand Bank, and the My Fair Share program is one way we live that every day.
We’re more than a Community Bank, we’re your neighbors, your partners, and your advocates for a brighter future.
