Background: This locally owned bank is headquartered in North Platte and was started by three employees and a group of local shareholders with a vision towards the future. Their mission began on May 14th, 1998 with the statement reading, "To serve North Platte and the surrounding communities with high quality personalized service at a competitive price", and the mission remains the same today. NebraskaLand National Bank was started from the ground up with $3 million in initial capital. Within 3 years, the Bank exceeded $50 million in total assets and reached $100 million in 5 years and 4 months. The Bank currently has more than 40 employees, 9 board members, and over 30 local shareholders. Mike Jacobson, President and CEO of NebraskaLand National Bank, wanted to start a bank that focused on individual attention and had local ownership with a local decision process. Progress and Changes: The Bank opened on May 14, 1998 in a small storefront in downtown North Platte. In May of 1999, the Bank opened their South Branch, south of the interstate in the Phillips 66 Convenience Store. In May of 2000, the Bank opened their  Wal-Mart Branch in the Wal-Mart Supercenter. In May of 2001, the Bank moved the Main office location, but remained in Downtown North Platte in a refurbished 2 story half block building at 121 N. Dewey. In July of 2003, the Bank opened its fourth location, the North Branch in the Northside BP Amoco Convenience Store. The most recent location to open was the full service branch in Mullen. The Bank Building was completed in 2004 on the corner of Highway 97 and Main Street. Products & Services: 4 Convenient North Platte Locations and the new Mullen Branch - Checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, IRA's, certificates of deposit, business checking accounts, cash management services, home loans, ag loans, SBA loans, commercial loans and safe deposit boxes are available. We have 8 ATM locations with 24 hours banking. NebraskaLand National Bank has built a solid foundation, with its team of professionals, on which the bank will continue to grow and profit for years to come.
